Complementing the exhibition “Jetzt geht’s rund” (Round and Round We Go) visitors can enjoy a varied program focused on the circular economy and sustainability, including upcycling ideas and an information booth hosted by AWM, Munich’s waste management company. Museum Brandhorst

Theresienstraße 35a

Museum Brandhorst houses one of Germany’s most important collections of contemporary art and offers a multifaceted overview of contemporary artistic production. Behind its colorful façade, visitors can currently discover works by Andy Warhol, Rineke Dijkstra, Laura Owens, and many others. Among the highlights, alongside the Rose Room, is the Lepanto Cycle by American artist Cy Twombly, displayed in a gallery created specifically for the series. The exhibition “Long Story Short” takes night owls on a journey through the history of contemporary art from the 1960s to the present day. Previously unseen works and recent acquisitions enter into a compelling dialogue with iconic pieces from the museum’s collection. With “Carrying,” the museum extends the exhibition space beyond its walls, activating locations both inside and outside Museum Brandhorst. International artists engage with historically charged sites, including Cy Twombly’s Lepanto Room and the landmark known as the Türkentor (Turkish Gate).

Library of the University of Munich

Geschwister-Scholl-Platz 1

**Renamed: Street Names and the Culture of Remembrance in Munich After 1945** This exhibition at the LMU University Library is inviting visitors to explore the city map as a reflection of historical debates and contemporary struggles over interpretation and memory. On the one hand, as early as June 1945, Munich residents proposed naming the squares in front of Ludwig Maximilian University after Hans and Sophie Scholl and Professor Kurt Huber. On the other hand, there are still streets in Munich today that bear the names of figures associated with antisemitism and colonialism. The exhibition examines how street names shape public memory and reveals the ongoing dialogue about how history is remembered and commemorated in urban space.

Museum Villa Stuck

Prinzregentenstraße 60

Discover the newly restored Museum Villa Stuck during the Long Night of Munich Museums, brighter, more open, and more beautiful than ever. Designed by Franz von Stuck himself as a “Gesamtkunstwerk” (total work of art), the artist’s residence is one of the most compelling examples of its kind from around 1900. To this day, it offers a compelling insight into the interplay of architecture, art, and everyday life, while showcasing Stuck’s work as a painter, sculptor, and graphic artist. Two special exhibitions await visitors. “No Single View” by Ilit Azoulay features her characteristic photographic collages alongside the film “Mary,” in which 77 actresses portray Franz von Stuck’s daughter. In Ten Lives, artists Delschad Numan Khorschid and Jan-Hendrik Pelz explore themes of displacement, trauma, and longing.

<img src="https://cms-test.muenchner.de/assets/6e39a1da-e56f-403a-abfd-df213add602e" alt="Bright courtyard with two large arched windows and glass doors. Collection Schack

Prinzregentenstraße 9

A precious gem among Munich’s museums, the Collection Schack houses paintings inspired by myths and fairy tales that tell stories of distant lands and bygone eras. The collection assembled by the poet and cultural historian Adolf Friedrich von Schack is one of the most important collections of 19th-century German painting and invites visitors on a journey through the romantic world of images and ideas. Currently, visitors can also enjoy masterpieces from the Neue Pinakothek, which are on display here while the museum is closed for renovation. **8 – 11 pm:** “Nachts im Museum: Die Gemälde flüstern zurück – Literatur trifft Malerei” (Night at the Museum: The Paintings Whisper Back – Where Literature Meets Painting)** Speakers from the Bavarian Talking Book Library are inviting visitors to listen, explore, and discover the literary dimensions hidden behind the light and shadow of paintings and canvases. Through readings and interpretations, they will reveal the stories, emotions, and ideas that resonate within the artworks. From **8 to 11 pm**, museum visitors will be able to enjoy a refined auditory experience that will bring art and literature into dialogue.

<img src="https://cms-test.muenchner.de/assets/e2a6975d-56ce-43eb-9095-afbb867c8bb6" alt="Painting of a young couple sitting closely together beneath a tree. Sudetendeutsches Museum (Sudete German Museum)

Hochstraße 10

In 30-minute guided tours, visitors to the Long Night of Munich Museums will gain exclusive insights into the special exhibition “Human und menschlich ...? Die regulierte Vertreibung der Sudetendeutschen“ (Human and Humane ...? The Regulated Expulsion of the Sudeten Germans). Between January and November 1946, more than two million Sudeten Germans were expelled from the Czechoslovak Republic. According to the words of Czechoslovak President Edvard Beneš, this “regulated” expulsion was intended to be conducted in a “human and humane” manner. The exhibition title, marked by a prominent question mark, refers directly to this claim. Eighty years later, the special exhibition commemorates and reflects on these events.

<img src="https://cms-test.muenchner.de/assets/9e24986b-cd28-40ed-b5fa-cf2079e86c28" alt="A long, narrow object made of wooden slats and metal parts lies on a grey floor. Museum Mensch und Natur (Museum of Man and Nature)

Schloss Nymphenburg

"Don’t throw anything away, you’ll never know when it might come in handy again!" Toni Bartl learned this from his Uncle Erwin, who filled his workshop with all kinds of odds and ends. Using creativity and craftsmanship, the inventor and musician transforms these discarded materials into one-of-a-kind musical instruments. With lively music and plenty of humor, he will be performing at the Recycle Bar until around 10:30 pm. Complementing the exhibition “Jetzt geht’s rund” (Round and Round We Go) visitors can enjoy a varied program focused on the circular economy and sustainability, including upcycling ideas and an information booth hosted by AWM, Munich’s waste management company. There will also be plenty to discover in the special exhibition “Molassic Park,” the future lab “Natur gestaltet” (Nature Designs) and the permanent exhibition. Experience the earthquake simulator, meet the exhibition curators, examine minerals at the stand of Münchener Mineralienfreunde, Munich’s mineral enthusiasts’ association, spin the wheel of fortune, or crack open a geode to reveal hidden crystals. After all that activity, visitors will be able to relax and recharge with refreshments at the Recycle Bar in Café Limulus. From here, visitors will have an opportunity to take LINE NORD 95 on an excursion to northern Munich, stopping first at the [MTU-Museum](www.muenchner.de/museumsnacht/en/ausstellungsorte/mtu-museum/) and continuing on to the [BMW Museum](www.muenchner.de/museumsnacht/en/ausstellungsorte/bmw-museum/) and [SEA LIFE](www.muenchner.de/museumsnacht/en/ausstellungsorte/sea-life-muenchen/).
